WELCOME TO Let It Be HEARD

For decades survivors have been telling their stories, unfortunately, a lot of the time they were not being heard. Well NOT anymore.

It is time that society understands what sexual violence, domestic violence, and stalking really is.

Society will be educated and survivors are going to be heard.

Let It Be Heard aims to address the attitudes, cultures, and actions that support and maintain victim blaming. Our goal is to inspire individuals to take a stand and help create a culture change.

We do this by providing educational programming on a number of different topics and offer personal insight from a survivors story. We believe everyone can play a role in ending sexual violence, domestic violence, and stalking.

Join me in giving a voice to ending sexual violence, domestic violence, and stalking.

WHAT IS...

  • Sexual Violence is any sexual act or attempts to obtain a sexual act by violence or coercion, acts to traffic a person or acts directed against a person's sexuality, regardless of the relationship to the victim. It occurs in times of peace and armed conflict situations, is widespread and is considered to be one of the most traumatic, pervasive, and most common human rights violations.

  • Domestic violence (also named domestic abuse or family violence) is a pattern of behavior which involves violence or other abuse by one person against another in a domestic setting, such as in marriage or cohabitation. It may be termed intimate partner violence when committed by a spouse or partner in an intimate relationship against the other spouse or partner and can take place in heterosexual or same-sex relationships, or between former spouses or partners.

  • Stalking is unwanted or obsessive attention by an individual or group towards another person. Stalking behaviors are related to harassment and intimidation and may include following the victim in person or monitoring them.

  • "Jenny has made an amazing impact on my life. I was part of a support group she ran for sexual assault survivors. When I first joined the group, I was barely able to even speak about what I had been through in the safe space of that group. But through the women in that group and Jenny’s help and support, I was eventually able to find the bravery to tell part of my story at a “Take Back the Night” event. I truly realized that I wasn’t alone and that all of us were dealing with almost identical thoughts and feelings. That group helped me to find my voice and to transition from a victim to a survivor."

Jenny’s open personality and lived experience truly make her speaking and motivational engagements enchanting and unique."
